update.

the battery on my ipod died while I was adding some songs to it last night and I just realized that apparently when that happens, IT ERASES ALL 800+ GOD FORSAKEN SONGS. sigh.

It's My, It's My, Generation...

So I'm standing at the Paulina stop this morning, fishing through my magenta corduroy bag (that I love more than some of my more distant family members) trying to locate my ipod. It became evident that it was going to take both hands to search, thus forcing me to set my tall, double shot, 2 pump, non-fat, no whip, toffee nut latte down. As I retrieved the pod, put the unmistakable (and often uncomfortable) white earphones in, and went to pick up the equally unmistakable white cup, it hit me. I am a complete whore to the mainstream ways of my generation. Upon further inventory, things just kept getting worse. Black pants. Little white tee. Denim jacket. Highlights in hair. There were 2 other girls in my train car alone that had on black pants with a denim jacket. A handful of others with the 'bucks cup and the pod. I wanted to scream. Loudly. I became filled with the sudden urge to dye my hair pink, wear ridiculous mismatched clothing, anything to break the mold. I may just start walking a half mile out of my way every morning to get coffee from an independent little coffee shop (which, I do prefer to the 'bucks, but sometimes a girl just needs her liquid cocaine) .
