and to think I used to love hotels

Wow, almost forgot my password to get on this thing ... it's been a while.

I'm currently in a Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Minneapolis, where I arrived completely spent after having traveled since 3:30 this morning.

I started a new job August 1st and since then I have been traveling practically non-stop for orientations and trainings. I haven't been home in 18 days; jet-setting to Minneapolis (three different times), Miami and San Francisco. And, frankly, I'm over it.

I miss my bed and my bathroom with my shower and my washer and dryer and my coffee pot and favorite mug and my new car and that damn Chicago skyline and, mostly, my friends back home and my family; tomorrow night can't come soon enough.

There's no travel planned for the next couple of weeks, but after that it's back on the road, hitting up Minneapolis (twice), Kansas City, Ft Lauderdale (twice) and back to San Francisco (maybe Montreal sprinkled in as well?). All before the end of October.

The only thing saving my sanity right now is the last minute cruise that we (me, the roommate and the gay husbands) booked a couple of nights ago. The second week of October (my birthday, woo!) will find us out on the mighty ocean in a sweet ass suite (heh), drinking our faces off in the Bahamas and Key West.

There is a god and he is so good.
